Here's a bit of new thing. Below
is a 3D Shockwave version of the lightsaber. You can Left mouse click and drag
to rotate the image and you can zoom in on it with [Shift+Left Mouse Button] and
zoom out with [Ctrl+Left Mouse Button]. This is a first attempt at a shockwave
saber, the geometry isn't perfect, and in some cases isn't quite correct (the
exporter lost some faces..) and materials don't come through as intended either.
However, this should give a good all-around view. Let me know what you think. If
it's well received, more will be in the making.
This is the Count Dooku/Darth Tyrannus Lightsaber in so far as what can be told from the pictures that have been seen so far. The drawing below is a straightened out version so that dimensions can be shown in a normal way. The detached prong drawn in green IS drawn in the bent version. My opinion - and that of others as well, is that this lightsaber is built straight (with a key way built into the side to insert the prong) and then bent into shape. The blue crosshairs show where the bend points are for the version that I've done. It would be a total waste of metal to build this in any other fashion. As mentioned earlier, this isn't a final version - simply because the pictures to date don't give the necessary information. This will be updated as more information becomes available.
