The details of this lightsaber were based on a diameter of 1 1/8". As it turns out, this lightsaber is built of out of the Bolsey #2 Flashgun (an old camera flash). The black part of the emitter happens to be from a Koenigh brand Lambourghini model kit. On the side is oil pan from an unidentified model car.
AOTC variations: Seeing as the object doesn't actually exist (all Yoda shots and objects he uses were completely CGI) it's a bit harder to get the detail. However, it's about an inch longer overall so it would show up on film better. Some LED's were added to the activator and the knob on the bottom of the renderings above is much larger.
